I have spent 25+ years as a professional value investor learning hard-won lessons in the markets that I am now sharing with you. From my early days as a young analyst at Fidelity Investments, where I had the privilege to learn from investing greats like Peter Lynch, Joel Tillinghast and Will Danoff, to the last decade of managing my own investment partnership, Silver Ring Value Partners, my journey has taught me much about what works, and what does not, in investing.

Now I am sharing these lessons at the intersection of investing and behavioral finance with you. The goal is to help you build a better investment process than the one I had for the first half of my career.

What the AI actually does, and does not
The workflows currently run on Claude, and current models are imperfect in ways that matter to research. They can miss a fact, misread a filing, skip a field, use something stale, and state a conclusion more confidently than the evidence supports. Those limits are structural. In most cases the workflows are still very useful when used properly despite the occasional mistakes that AI makes.
I test each workflow on a real case, record what went wrong, and write the verification checks that follow from it. A polished output is not evidence that every instruction ran or every source was read. Verify before you rely on it.
