What the membership provides
Behavioral Value Investor provides investing essays, process tools, and practical AI-enhanced workflows for serious investors.
The tools can help you organize research, examine assumptions, find patterns you might have missed, and work through more investing candidates efficiently. They do not replace reading the source material, doing the valuation work, or making your own decisions.
What it does not provide
This membership does not provide stock recommendations, portfolio transparency, or analysis of Silver Ring Value Partners' current holdings or trades. If that is what you are looking for, this membership is not for you.
AI is useful but imperfect
Claude Skills are useful but imperfect. Current models can miss a fact, misread a source, skip a field you asked for, use stale information, or state a conclusion with more confidence than the evidence supports. Their behavior can also vary by model and from one run to another.
Even with those limitations, I have found the workflows I am sharing with you to be very useful when they are used for their intended purpose. They can save time, organize a first pass, and help you find patterns you might otherwise miss.
Check important findings against the original filings or other primary sources before relying on them. You remain responsible for the investment judgment.
What you need
The downloadable Claude workflows require a paid Claude plan that supports custom Skills, file creation and code execution. Some also require web access and Research or deep research. Claude's plans and features can change, so confirm that your plan supports what you need before subscribing.
The Mental Model Scorecard runs in a web browser. Free subscribers receive limited access. Paid subscribers receive access to the full app.
The Full PULSE template with Bloomberg codes requires desktop Excel, your own active Bloomberg subscription, the Bloomberg Excel add-in, and a connected Bloomberg session. It is not designed for highly leveraged financial companies such as banks. Bloomberg data can contain errors or handle special charges and one-time items imperfectly, so check the data when it matters.

Downloads and member codes
Paid subscribers can access the workflow files and member download links from the Downloads page in a web browser. The Substack app does not display this member-download surface.
Monthly, Annual, and Founding subscribers receive the standard workflow downloads. The Full PULSE template with Bloomberg codes is included with Annual and Founding memberships.
Annual refund guarantee
The 30-day guarantee applies to a new Annual membership, once per member, for 30 days from the first Annual purchase.
To request a refund, email gary@behavioralvalueinvestor.com. Tell me which workflow you ran from beginning to end and where it fell short. Once you do that, I will grant the full refund.
The full guarantee still applies if you downloaded the Full PULSE template with Bloomberg codes. A refund ends your paid access and your permission to continue using downloads that were included with the membership.
Monthly memberships do not include this publisher guarantee. You can cancel at any time under Substack's standard terms.
Data and privacy
The Mental Model Scorecard stores the information you choose to enter, including tickers, answers, bear cases, and scores. You can export your information. The app's privacy notice explains how the data is stored and when the operator may access it.
Do not enter confidential client information, material nonpublic information, or anything else you are not comfortable storing in the app or submitting to an AI workflow.
